Advance Lives began its journey in Haiti in 2014, and one day at a time, our mission continues to grow — bringing clean water, food security, and dignity to some of the world’s most vulnerable communities.
In Haiti, our work is deeply rooted in community and compassion. Jores first heard about our Seniors Community Lunch Program and volunteered to help with weekly food deliveries. Every week, he hikes up and down rocky trails to reach seniors living in remote areas.
Today, Jores is one of our dedicated staff members at Advance Lives, faithfully caring for the poor and forgotten. Through this program, Advance serves more than 300 hot meals each week to seniors who are undernourished and isolated.
Haiti is where our story began — and it remains at the heart of everything we do.
India: Clean Water for $1 a Year Per Person
In rural India, $3,800 provides a fresh water well for an entire village, which works out to just $1 per person for one year of clean water. It’s a small investment with life-changing impact.
These water wells serve hundreds of families at a time. The water is safe to drink directly from the pump and is accessible to everyone in the community — reducing illness, saving time, and restoring dignity.
Cuba: Water That Grows Food and Community
In Cuba, access to water is bringing fruit trees back to life. We are also planning to add vegetable gardens and chickens to support local food production.
The harvest and eggs will be shared with seniors and their families in a community near the fishing village of Guardalavaca (Holguín) — creating sustainable nourishment and shared abundance.
Nepal: Bringing Water Closer to Home
Some of our most remote projects are in Nepal — a three-day drive from the capital, followed by travel along rocky mountain paths.
Before water pumps were installed, women in these communities walked 2–4 hours every day to collect clean water. Now, water is available right in their neighbourhoods.
The women send “a million thank yous” for giving them back time — time to spend with family, tend their gardens, and connect with friends.
Water truly changes everything.
Our Approach: Local Partnerships, Lasting Impact
Advance Lives partners with local skilled workers and sources all supplies locally, ensuring strong relationships and long-term sustainability within each community.
We work alongside trusted National Directors who oversee budgeting, reporting, and project outcomes. Our steady growth is built on nearly two decades of experience, beginning with volunteering in Haiti in 2006.
Current Need: Supporting Haitian Families After Hurricane Loss
Thirty families we work with in Haiti recently lost their farm animals due to hurricane damage. We are currently fundraising to replace chickens, goats, and cows — practical resources that restore food security and income.
Every gift is used in meaningful, tangible ways.
